Advising and Registration for Current BCTC students opens October 1st for Spring Classes and March 1st for Summer and Fall Classes.
To identify and contact your assigned advisor:

To Schedule an Advising Appointment:
Check your KCTCS email for communication from your assigned advisor.
This will provide you with directions on how to schedule your
appointment.
For 2021-2022, various technologies may be used for advising
appointments, including Starfish, Bookings, Teams, Acuity. For additional
help with these scheduling options please see the Step-By-Step Training
Guides.
To Complete an Advising Evaluation:

Registration for new, transfer, and readmit students begins April 1 for Fall and Summer classes & November 1 for Spring classes.

Exception: If you are returning from academic suspension do not complete the Pre-Advising form. Upon reinstatement, the Academic Suspension Reinstatement Specialist will advise and register you for classes initially. You will be assigned an academic advisor after enrollment. Following reinstatement, the Reinstatement Specialist will advise and register you for classes. You will also be assigned an academic advisor. Visiting and Non-degree college students are not required to meet with an academic advisor. Your online portal, available as a link in your mailed acceptance letter, will provide instructions for creating your student account. You will login to your student account to register for classes. For question regarding registering, you will need to contact the Registrar's Office via email at Bluegrass-StudentRecords@kctcs.edu.
Placement testing needs to be completed before you attend your advising session. We recommend you use one of our study guides for math and/or verbal. A photo ID is required for testing.
For testing at the Regional Campuses (Danville, Georgetown, Lawrenceburg, Winchester) please contact that campus for information. See Regional Campus information.
For testing at the Leestown Campus Testing Center, Schedule your appointment online or call 859-246-6669. Evening testing is available on Wednesday's at Leestown only.
Walk-in testing is available on Newtown Campus Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. No appointment is necessary.

Registration Assistance
As a student at Bluegrass Community & Technical College, you will need to be familiar
with accessing your academic records, email, and coursework online. All of these can be accessed online from our homepage. Note: Steps 1 & 2 can be completed after you are admitted to BCTC. Your Email account will be active 24 hours after completing your Registration
Your password must be 12 characters in length, contain at least one number, a symbol,
and an uppercase letter.
Note: Full time students attending the Cooper Campus interested in UK Campus Housing should go to UK Housing for BCTC Students.
