Registration Information and Assistance

Registration Information

 

Priority Advising and Registration is open for Current BCTC students from October 1st-31st for Spring Classes and March 1st-31st for Summer and Fall Classes.
Schedule an Advising Appointment in Starfish to take advantage of Priority Advising and Registration.

  1. Log into Starfish via My Path (You can also access Starfish through Blackboard-under Tools- and the KCTCS App-via My Path)
  2. Under "Your Connections" find your "Academic Advisor- Assigned"
  3. Select the arrow by your advisor's name and select "Schedule"
  4. Click "Advising"-then select the "General Advising" option. Click continue.
  5. Select your desired date and time. Click continue.
    Note the campus and office location.
  6. Provide appointment details for your advisor (major etc.) then confirm appointment.
    Note: You will receive a confirmation email to your KCTCS email account. Be sure to read the email as important information regarding your appointment may be included.

Registration opens for the Fall and Summer Semesters on April 1.
Registration opens for Spring Semester on November 1.

Please Note: If you are registering for a course with a prerequisite, you must provide proof of meeting the prerequisite from your transfer or home institution (Example: transcripts, grades or test scores). This information should be emailed to bluegrass.records@kctcs.edu. If you are attempting to register for English or Math you must meet the placement requirements.

Step 1:
Submit your request to add classes by completing the course enrollment form located at the link below:

Once your registration is processed, you will receive an email confirmation.

Step 2:
Activate your Student Account by following the instructions at the link below:
http://bit.ly/useraccountcenter

Step 3:
Navigate to My Path. My Path provides access to tools such as Blackboard, Email and Student Self-Service.

Pay your tuition using the Student Self-Service tool through My Path,

If you have been admitted to the college please fill out the Pre-Advising Form before scheduling your appointment to determine if you meet course placement requirements. 
Your next step is to make arrangements to meet with an advisor.

Registration for new, transfer, and readmit students begins April 1 for Fall and Summer classes & November 1 for Spring classes.

Registration Assistance

As a student at Bluegrass Community & Technical College, you will need to be familiar with accessing your academic records, email, and coursework online.

All of these can be accessed online from our homepage.

You can also download and print these instructions.

Note: Steps 1 & 2 can be completed after you are admitted to BCTC.

  1. Using Mozilla Firefox (Internet Browser), open our homepage.
  2. At the top-left corner of the page, click "Current Students"
  3. Click on "User Account Center"
  4. Click "Setup User Profile"
  5. Select the appropriate "Birth Month, Day, and "KCTCS ID" number (this may be called your Peoplesoft ID#) then click "Next"
  6. Enter your temporary passcode. This will have been sent to the email address you listed on your application.
  7. Complete the "Question/Answer" fields and click "Next"
  8. Your "Username", (i.e. JSmith0012), will be provided to you. Write this down!
  9. Create a password and confirm.
    Your password must be 12 characters in length, contain at least one number, a symbol, and an uppercase letter.
  10. If your password was created correctly you will receive the message "Your password has been successfully set!!!"

  4. Click on "Login Here"
  5. Enter your username and password from Step 1

Your Email account will be active 24 hours after completing your Registration

  4. Click on "Email"
  5. Enter your username and password from Step 1

Note: Full time students attending the Cooper Campus interested in UK Campus Housing should go to UK Housing for BCTC Students.
