
Scott County Dual Credit Support Program
The Scott County Dual Credit Support Program assists 11th and 12th grade students in Scott County Schools who have a documented financial need and are enrolled in dual credit courses at Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC). The program can help cover the cost of dual credit tuition, fees, and book charges at BCTC.
Eligibility Criteria
Participation in the program is based on available funding. To be considered, students must:
- be a resident of Scott County, KY and enrolled in the 11th or 12th grade with the Scott County School District;
- qualify, through Scott County Schools’ Nutrition Services, for the Free and Reduced Lunch program based on family income or participation in certain assistance programs;
- meet college readiness benchmarks and any required course-specific prerequisites;
- be enrolled in one or more dual credit courses at BCTC; and
- have exhausted and/or committed any available KHEAA Dual Credit and/or Work Ready Kentucky Dual Credit funds.
Program funds will be credited to the student’s BCTC account after final grades are posted. Please note that funding will not be applied to classes in which a student earns a non-passing grade of “I”, “E”, or “W”.
Interest Form Instructions
Students must complete the Online Interest Form and upload the Notification or Waiver of Student Fees letter confirming their eligibility for the Free and Reduced Lunch program for the academic year in which assistance is requested. Free and Reduced Lunch eligibility must be based on family income level or participation in certain assistance programs.
Deadlines
- Fall Semester: Apply by October 15. Students awarded for Fall may be considered for renewal in Spring if all eligibility requirements continue to be met.
- Spring Semester Only: Apply by March 15 if no Fall application was submitted.
