Degrees Before Diplomas Endowed Scholarship Fund

This fund helps students get ahead. Students attend BCTC college classes during the last two years of high school. This headstart gives them a competitive edge in the workforce.

Tuition for a BCTC education is one-third to one-half of the cost of public universities. And it's much less than that of an independent or for-profit college.

We established this endowment for students that need help. Many of them have the capacity & desire to attend college. But, the monetary and time commitments required to attend college can discourage them.

The Dream Endowed Scholarship Fund

This scholarship uplifts students without access to student aid.

Immigrant youth with DACA, TPS, or undocumented status can attend Kentucky college. But, they must self-finance education. Often, these students can only afford one or two classes a semester. This delays their ability to earn their college degrees. It also slows more significant opportunities for themselves, their families, and our community.

Our student body is diverse, with six (6) percent identifying as Latinx. Invest in their academic dreams. It is an investment in a more inclusive & vibrant community.

Greatest Need Fund

Your gifts provide BCTC students with immediate support in the most needed ways.

Greatest Need gifts help in countless ways. Students need your help to overcome obstacles that block their educational goals. This includes support for the student food pantry and emergency student aid.

The fund also provides computers and other technology for students to excel. The Greatest Need is how you deliver the means to:

  • Develop new programs and curricula
  • Keep faculty
  • Empower students to thrive

Opportunity BCTC Scholarship Fund

Opportunity BCTC Scholarship Fund provides financial support for deserving students.

Demographic trends show that many talented students need financial help to attend BCTC. With this fund, our community continues to lead in giving access to a first-rate education. This access transforms countless lives. It is a noble but expensive proposition. Sustaining it requires the continued investment of our alumni and friends.

During the 2017-2018 academic year, we awarded $238,244 to 116 students, with an average award of $2,054. But, 177 deserving students completed the application and did not receive a scholarship.

Thank you for helping us provide more scholarships and removing financial barriers.
