Good Giving a great opportunity to invest in your community

LEXINGTON, KY - Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) is pleased to once again join the Good Giving Challenge, Nov. 30-Dec. 6, to support BCTC students at campuses in Danville, Georgetown, Lawrenceburg and Winchester.
Last year through the Good Giving Challenge, over $44,000 was invested in students at the regional campuses.
Finances is one of the biggest barriers for students who want to attend college. Scholarships and enrollment in dual credit classes while in high school can help reduce, and sometimes completely eliminate, college debt for students. When investment is made in students through the Good Giving Challenge, BCTC is able to offer this opportunity to more students, many low-income and underrepresented.
In addition to reducing financial stress, students who benefit from these opportunities gain confidence, meet college readiness standards, build college success skills and prepare for a career that can change the trajectory of their lives. These life changes not only benefit the student, but also their families and communities.
