Attend BCTC’s 2022 LGBTQIA+ Virtual Conference

heart painted in pride colour stripesLEXINGTON, KY – Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) presents the second annual virtual LGBTQIA+ Conference, Building Bridges, on Microsoft Teams on Feb. 25, 2022, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. EST.

Dr. Kaila Adia Story, associate professor in Women’s, Gender and Sexuality, and Pan-African studies at the University of Louisville, is the keynote speaker. Dr. Story was recognized by former first lady Michelle Obama’s non-profit organization, Reach Higher, for creating safe spaces for LGBTQ+ students. 

Concurrent sessions on microaggression, LGBTQ+ Pop Culture, Toxic Masculinity, LGBTQ+ Affirmation and Faith, supporting transgender students and more, as well as the Drag Queen Story Hour are available at the virtual conference.
