BCTC Announces Finalists for the Bluegrass Community and Technical College Presidency

Lexington, KY – Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) announces the final candidates for President.
Board Chair Ron L. Walker, Jr. and the Presidential Search Committee announces today the finalists for the position of BCTC President. “We are pleased to share the top three candidates in our national search for the best individual to lead BCTC,” said Chair Walker. “We are proud of the integrity of this process led by the Search Consultant of Pauly Group, Inc., Angela Provart and are pleased with the finalists listed below.”
BCTC Presidential Finalists
- Dr. Greg J. Feeney, Acting President/CEO, Bluegrass Community and Technical College
- Dr. Kendricks D. Hooker, Provost, Cabarrus College of Health Sciences, Concord, North Carolina
- Dr. Rick W. Smith, Sr., Vice President, External Relations and Economic Partnerships, Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE)
The candidates are scheduled to visit all BCTC campuses to meet with faculty, staff, students, and the community on December 5 and 6. Opportunities to meet the candidates during their campus visits will be announced in late November.
“The entire Search Committee involved in this process are keenly aware of the importance of continuing our student success initiatives, promoting employee development, and the partnership with state and local community leaders,” said Chair Walker. “BCTC has an essential role in Central Kentucky’s economic development and growth, and we will select the best candidate to continue its’ upward trajectory,” said Walker.
