PTK is an academic organization that recognizes and honors academic excellence. In the honor society, BCTC students and faculty work together to promote a high level of performance in the classroom, build leadership skills, and serve the college. Students from various chapters across the Kentucky Community and Technical College System demonstrated their dedication and hard work by successfully completing two outstanding projects: the College Project and Honors in Action.

“We are excited to announce the exceptional achievements of our students at the Kentucky Region Convention,” said Kimberly Ross-Brown, PTK Advisor. “The College Project, integral to our mission, showcases our students' commitment to supporting campus leadership efforts and addressing the evolving needs of the student body. Through meticulous evaluation and action-oriented service, our students tackled real-world challenges within our campus communities, culminating in the successful organization of a three-day conference focusing on Mind, Body, and Soul (Self). In our Honors in Action initiative, they collaborated closely with the Global Learning Center to identify pressing issues and develop actionable plans for change. From the initial stages of selecting a theme to conducting mini-research studies, their efforts exemplify our mission to bridge the gap between research and action.  Notably, they secured grant funds from the International Office to support and amplify the impact of their project. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the members of the Alpha Phi Kappa chapter for their award-winning projects. At the Kentucky Regional Convention Awards Ceremony, they received well-deserved recognition for their exceptional contributions,” said Ross-Brown.

“We are so proud of our future leaders of tomorrow,” said Dr. Greg Feeney, BCTC President/CEO. “Our PTK Honor Society prepares students to be well-equipped to navigate the complexities of the world. These student leaders will make a difference in our communities and empower others to envision their possibilities. Congratulations to all honorees and advisors of the 14 awards given at the Convention. Your hard work demonstrates your passion for student success,” said Feeney.
