NetGain Technologies, LLC is the premier IT services provider specializing in small and medium-sized businesses. NetGain has six offices in five states and manages the systems of networks of over 11,000 computer users. They provide services in IT Management, IT Security Services, IT Projects, and Consulting, and SOC2, Type II Certifications. Partnering with an IT expert ensures your tech needs are met while removing the hurdles of staffing and training. The partnership with BCTC ensures the student has hands-on experience through teaching, learning, and gaining experience at the same time.

Sarah Newman and Emmett Blair are two BCTC students enrolled in the Cybersecurity program. Both students are serving as interns with NetGain Technologies focusing on Cybersecurity. They are learning comprehensive essential security solutions and services for businesses to maintain a minimal level of risk. "When I joined the NetGain Technologies team, I quickly learned that many of our engineers and leadership were KCTCS alumni,” said Bruce McDonald, Service Delivery Manager. “I am both an alumnus (2005) and former staff member of BCTC and am incredibly excited to support our youth in their exploration of IT through internship opportunities. It is a fantastic way to give back to the community and nurture the next generation of IT professionals."

"My internship with NetGain Technologies has been insightful in showing me how a tech company operates, with a focus on shadowing the functions of a Security Operations Center,” said Emmett Blair, BCTC Student Intern. “BCTC helped make this experience possible, and I hope to see opportunities like these continue in the future for students in the Cybersecurity program," said Blair. "My journey with the internship has been informative, supportive, and eye-opening,” said Sarah Newman. “I genuinely feel that I have been equipped with invaluable skills and knowledge not just about cyber security but about the IT industry as a whole."

“We value our partnership with NetGain Technologies and thank them for affording our students the benefit of firsthand training while completing their degree,” said Dr. Greg Feeney, BCTC President/CEO. “Their focus is on Cybersecurity which demands a high level of secure data and networks. Sarah and Emmett are privileged to be part of an internship with a premier IT service organization that provides services in five states. Together, we will build a stronger workforce,” said Feeney.
