The event recognizes students who are committing to careers with leading healthcare and emergency service employers across the region.

Students representing high-demand healthcare programs—including Respiratory Care, Paramedic, Nursing, Surgical Technology, and Dental Hygiene—will formally sign with employer partners, marking the transition from education to professional practice.

Participating employer partners include Frankfort Regional Medical Center, Baptist Health Lexington, CHI St. Joseph Hospital, University of Kentucky HealthCare, Anderson County EMS, Georgetown County EMS, Eastern State Hospital, Baptist Health (Central Baptist Hospital), University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, University of Kentucky Good Samaritan Hospital, and Mortenson Dental Partners.

“Going Pro Signing Day is a powerful reflection of our mission in action,” said Dr. Greg Feeney, President of BCTC. “We are not only educating students, but we are also preparing highly skilled professionals who are ready to meet workforce needs on day one. Seeing our students step confidently into careers with our valued industry partners is a proud moment for our college and a testament to the strength of these collaborations.”

The event is held in recognition of Community College Month, highlighting the critical role community colleges play in workforce development and economic vitality.

“This is an exciting milestone for our students and faculty alike,” said Dr. Patricio I. Meneses, Dean of Nursing and Allied Health. “Our students have demonstrated exceptional dedication and resilience, and it is incredibly rewarding to see them launch meaningful careers in healthcare. These partnerships ensure our graduates are not only workforce-ready but positioned to make an immediate impact in the communities they serve.”

Going Pro Signing Day underscores BCTC’s commitment to aligning academic programs with industry needs while creating direct pathways to employment for its graduates.
