FortiClient VPN Instructions

Instructions for Windows

1. Download the FortiClient VPN software.
2. Install the FortiClient software. It may require a reboot at the end of the installation.
3. After installation run the FortiClient software from the Start menu.
4. Click on Configure VPN
   
5. Enter the following settings:
   • VPN: SSL-VPN
   • Connection Name: KCTCS
   • Description: KCTCS
   • Remote Gateway: vpn.kctcs.edu
   • Check "Customize Port" and enter 10443
   • Check "Enable Single Sign On (SSO) for VPN Tunnel"
   
6. Click "Save".
7. Make sure the KCTCS VPN is selected and click on the "SAML Login" button in FortiClient.
8. You will be prompted to log in with your KCTCS e-mail address and password.
9. Once the FortiClient VPN connects, it will minimize itself to the system tray.
10. When you are done using the VPN, click on the FortiClient VPN icon in the system tray to restore the window and/or disconnect.
