Penji - Exploring Our Student Check-In System
What is Penji?
Penji is an online platform we uses to track student traffic in various areas around the college. Areas include Tutoring, Gaming Lounge, Heart Pantry, Career Counseling, and more.
How do you use Penji?
There are three ways you can potentially check in:
- You can be checked in by a staff member
- You can check in on a public kiosk
- You can check in by scanning a QR code.
In all cases, you will use your student ID number to check in.
Why use Penji?
We are utilizing Penji to help us better understand what services students are using and how often. This helps us better allocate resources, but it also allows us to research if these services are having a positive impact on student success.
Prizes!
To encourage students to make sure they are checking in, we will have random monthly prizes drawn from the list of students who checked in that month. Prizes include BCTC swag, gift cards, Roku sticks, tvs, and more!
