Brief Job Description
As an Intramural Sports Assistant/Referee, they will assist both the Student Engagement Coordinator and Student Engagement Assistant with setting up and breaking down equipment after each game.
Depending on the sport, this person will be a referee for at least one game each day. Because we encourage students that are novice players, this person will help with teaching basic procedures of the sport/game. This person will report to the Student Engagement Coordinator.

Student Learning Community (SLC) Peer Guides are experienced BCTC students who will connect SLC students to college resources and develop meaningful peer connections with SLC participants by providing frequent encouragement, outreach, and support. SLC Peer Guides are expected to collaborate with the SLC Success Coach, the Student Success & Retention Area, and faculty associated with the specific SLC, in the planning, promotion, and facilitation of SLC activities. SLC Peer Guides will spend most of their time working with and helping other students. . Peer guide responsibilities and time commitments may vary based on the specific assigned Student Learning Community (SLC). Training related to technologies, especially Starfish, and BCTC academic and student services will be provided as needed.

A Few Good Men Peer mentors will assist African American Male students with their transition from high school to college and aid in the overall success of their experience at BCTC. Some responsibilities of the Peer Mentor will include assisting with implementing program policies and procedures, managing scheduled appointments alongside the Director of African American Student Initiatives and Associate Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and helping with marketing and communication efforts for the A Few Good Men program.

As student leaders, the BCTC Student Leadership Ambassadors will serve as positive role models to help new and prospective students feel connected to the college community, build awareness of college services and programs, and cultivate relationships within the community while promoting good will and integrity. Four separate focuses will be available based on the needs of students and the SLA program and skill sets of the ambassadors. All four focuses will begin with a unified training model to build common knowledge about BCTC and the SLA roles. Then each track will receive specialized training. Some SLAs may serve multiple functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- BCTC Student Leadership Ambassadors must have completed at least 12 credit hours, be a full-time student, be in good standing in the community and institution, and have at least a 2.5 GPA.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office is necessary.

- In the process of attaining a degree from BCTC/KCTCS college. At least one semester of attendance at a BCTC college in order to provide valuable experience to prospective students. Not necessary to be enrolled in the summer semester.

Brief Job Description
This person would report to the Director of Student Success. They would be stationed in the Tutoring Center located in the Classroom Building on Newtown's Campus. They would be responsible for greeting students as they come into the center; assisting students with signing in; pairing students with the appropriate tutor; keeping track of tutor schedules; keeping inventory of supplies needed for tutoring; communicating tutoring needs with the Director; and any other assigned duties.
